We all walk a fascinating number of roads throughout the course of our life. Some of them are mildly bumpy, while some are vast chasms of experience. Some seem like they are flowing faultless, taking us to the very edge of what we know is our home. Some carry great lessons leading to revelation, while others contain great fortune due to the experience. The most important thing to remember when walking each and every road though, is that there is not one single road in all of your life that you will ever walk along where you will ever, yes ever, be all alone. Your hand is always being held along the way. - WD Allan

At the end of the day, as all of the teetering pomp and self-glorifying diminishes, our lives will invariably be best measured by what we chose to do and how we added to the quality of peoples lives instead of how we added to the magnificence of our own egos. This is called making a difference! The former is called waxing eloquent upon ones own self. – WD Allan

I was asked recently why it is that I don't fear those particulars of the spiritual realm that most others would. I responded that "once you have walked through the veils that I have, and come to the understanding that nothing can possibly hurt you without your consent, you realize that there isn't all that much to scare you any longer. Think about it." - WD Allan

"Many things are predisposed to the nature of humankind. The greatest of all of these however is their capacity to envision themselves in their truest form. To this is the source of every struggle and every capacity he has for self diminishments. Be true to this, for it is the answer to that one single question that lay at the very core of each souls yearning for itself: the answer is “yes”." – WD Allan

What a WONDERFUL movie was Alice in Wonderland! Go
ahead and laugh. I believe in Dreams! They bear the fruit of the very core of the souls of humankind! - WD Allan

I not only support but I wholeheartedly beseech people from all faiths and all spiritual persuasions in the world to cast off our differences and to join in common unison to the spirit of Chief Arvol Looking Horse's message! - WD Allan http://bit.ly/9SM3l1

The loss of an inner vision of the innocence to all of existence is one of the hardest of things that everyone, unfortunately, comes to deal with in this experience of life. One thing however that never dullens with age and that never falls ill to the unsure edges of life is the brilliance of the spirit. This "IS" the core of Spirituality! - WD Allan

In watching the HBO Series The Pacific, I became moved by one thought above all else, tied to that WW2 veteran I once had the honor of meeting.
"When we lose our humanity, we lose ourselves. When it seems we have lost what makes us who we are, we must remember yet again, in order to be whole." - WD Allan

If you have any problem believing in the reality of a Great Spirit in all of what is, look very deeply and soulfully into the eyes of another. There within, you will find the essence of all that is the Great Spirit. - WD Allan

When people stop blaming the Great Spirit for the meanderings of man, then they will find themselves having taken a wondrous leap forward in existence. - WD Allan

Spirituality is the perfect congruence that exists between all of those ruminations of your thoughtfulness and then the decisive actions of motivation in action that create YOU! - WD Allan

To re-create the wonder in your existence, remember the things that provided you with all of that vast questioning that forced you to seek those things you still didn’t know about or understand, and then re-create that in your life! This is one of the greatest factors in remaining young! - WD Allan

As we easily think of all of the reasons to respect the beliefs of others, we can just as easily think on all of the reasons to respect their opinions as well. One of the most fantastic things about this stark and spiritual existence is that we all carry our own particular shades of color for our very own palette. Paint your life as you wish, and then appreciate that others do just the same with theirs! Just don't expect everyone to buy your finished canvas! They have their own! - WD Allan

When people transition their angers into positives, they then become greater creative engines of positive change in life! BE POSITIVE! Set aside the anger and settle it alongside those proper proportions of why you are "REALLY" angry, instead of letting your reactions command your engine of re-creation! You'll find life a lot more accomodating this way, not to mention a hell of a lot more peaceful. - WD Allan

Do remember that everyone, yes, "EVERYONE" has good and bad periods along the path of their life. The intensity and the duration of these ill periods however depend proportionally upon ones own reactions to them instead of focusing attention to those greater creative matters that would better suit our path. - WD Allan

Also remember that we can easily become the very beast that we most vilify in the expanse of our plentiful existence, when we be-come our reactions, instead of be-coming our visions! - WD Allan

In all of what I’ve learned and tried to present, there is above all others, one great truth in all of existence. This is that our connection within the dream of what life truly is is to the single-most fact that, none of us are ever alone. We are but one within all. Once this is understood, the rest falls into place. - WD Allan

You have no idea how many times I’ve just wanted to just give up the struggle. There are those moments when even the most positive soul gets tired of the endless trying and trying. I keep asking myself why do I keep trying to do what I do? I always come up with the same answer…...You guessed it. - WD Allan

The thoughts that we present to others are the only lasting tributes that we really send off into our future. They are what we leave behind us. They are the means by which we affect our very existence. They steer the course that creates our being. They are the thoughtful creation-makers that craft the pathways of not only our experience, but the affections that influence others as well. Once you know what the thoughts are that your trying to convey, then you can be sure of where your future is. Be sure. For me, the thought is clear. LOVE.

Interestingly enough, people tend to get very comfortable with their patterns of being. Patterns of people, patterns of none, patterns of travel, patterns of some, patterns of meals, patterns of strife, patterns made up just to thwart what is actually nice. There is nothing wrong with patterns of being that please us all. In fact these patterns tend to define us in so many subtle ways. When however one sets oneself against the veils of what really is amongst us all, in some patterned way in ones life there is a muted and veiled wish for no communication between oneself and from the very re-creative engine that makes all of this possible to begin with. Eventually, many of those most stoic of separatists come to the conclusion in life that they really aren't as all alone as they thought they were, and then suddenly, spiritual matters enter the conscious equation of being yet again instead of them festering in the subconscious for so long. Call it an awakening, or a revelation, or even a simple change of the mind. Call it whatever you will. Suffice it to be in any context you wish. When one in this family of being looks deeply again within themselves for what they know is truly there, then the rest becomes a self-endowment of the soul patterned after a great tree of life that has been blooming for eons. - WD Allan

Its an easy thing, to fixate on the physical, to enamor the tactile, to focus attention onto those things one can touch or grasp and/or manipulate. Its ironic really that the most elementary part of the self, that affects the self, is manipulated through the most simple and decisive qualities of ones choices and intentions. - WD Allan

Looking for the doorways that lead to new and greater levels of self-understanding sometimes come at the most auspicious and then again, the most inauspicious moments in life. Just when you think that things have become rather nested, and comfortably routine, just remember what they say about routine lifestyles. When you think that things are going well, something has the potential of piddling in your brew of life or at least off-setting your understanding of the way that your life and your existence has be-come. When those doorways have presented in a locked fashion, the answer obviously is in the keys you need to open those doorways. The best place to look for the keys that you seek isn't in a locked case, some ethereal cupboard, or on some key-hook of the soul. The answers that you seek always lay within yourself. The route to those answers are the way. Just something to think on - WD Allan

When I look back onto the days of the past and think of the coming days of the future, I am constantly reminded of how quickly the days did move along, leaving behind the eternity of what was, now only to be known as the individually transcribed transience of what had been. Never think that today lasts forever. Today is your day! Right here and right now! If for any reason you haven't taken notice of the brilliance of today, why not do it now before it suddenly has become your yesterday. - WD Allan

There was a time in the past when I found myself slogged amidst through great difficulty of various sorts. It was one of those times in ones life that people dream they should never have to witness or worse, have to put up with. Its interesting that when we are engaged in some great difficulty in life, we often think of it as a period that no other person could ever really have any understanding of, when the truth is that just about everyone has some integral understanding of such periods. Relatively speaking of course. I did of course eventually begin to feel like things were starting to get better, but Great Spirit it did seem to last forever, and had I simply hid my head under my pillow, or worse, had I chosen to remain in the mindset that the sea's of upset would never go calm for me again, heaven only knows what the results could have been? That long-lasting and very testing period in my life provided me with a stairway to higher levels of awareness, greater strengths in the understanding of just what the human spirit was truly capable of when the chips were down, and most of all, it enhanced my intimate connection to the Great Spirit and my other spiritual connections that I so count on for my very existence! As the old saying goes, the grass is always greener on the other side of the street! When one is mired down with the difficulties of life in whatever period, it might help to recall that no matter what is currently going on with your life, you probably aren't alone in your besieged wilderness! Turn your trials into the tallies of a great spiritual strength building exercise and then choose to reconnect with the you that really is within you! You might just be surprised at what you can handle! - WD Allan

There are those who seek Beverly Hills Glitter and those who seek gold. Those who are still young and many more who are old. Those who seek intimacy and struggle with strife. Those who make merry and more a joke out of life. There are those who save their wallets for a dark rainy day, while others give freely to make l...ife what it may. There are those in all walks, who seek the experiences they've yet to know. But there is only one that sits amidst, that inner-palace of the soul. BE there with it! - WD Allan

Personally held realms of truth flow as the Nile feeds the fields! Everyone has some personal understanding of life, of existence, of the very truths that form the nature of God, the Great Spirit or however one chooses to recognize that greatest of all truths in existence. Why does one person decide that a blue suit looks best on a sunny day when another person decides that a beige suit manners much better in the sunshine? Why is it that some would rather drive a Mercedes than any other car in the world, when another person wouldn't be seen dead driving one? Why is it that some adhere to very firm and strict beliefs according to their own understanding of God when others are as flexible and as variable as someone could possibly be with regard to such beliefs? There are never easy and pointed answers to such questions and why should there be? The creation and the re-creation of life in any one moment of one's life is construct to the way that one deems it to be, and this is never aligned perfectly between any two people in any and every way! We all have differing opinions and manners of belief and of life and therefore we all hold our beliefs individually as we currently understand them. These moments witness change as time moves along. Change in some form, change in some color, change in some values and ways that we at any given time acknowledge ourselves in accordance to our surrounding world. That's the greatest thing about our beliefs! The are never static, they are never stagnant and they never have to hold fast to anyone else's edicts except according to our own. If someone tells you otherwise, you might want to re-visit just where that person is truly coming from? You might be surprised! - WD Allan

Receiving is certainly a vastly different thing than giving, to any personal sense of being in the experience of life. Some find the act of receiving a wonderful event, while others find the act of receiving extremely uncomfortable one and likened to the parchment of those things one wishes to not engage at any time. Sometimes its for the fear of being rejected. Sometimes its for the fear of being enamored or immersed into some tie(s) to someone one wishes not to be tied to. Some simply don't know how to receive, or worse have been hurt badly in their past causing them to become rather, forgive the term, a bit "gun-shy" to any such of an interpersonal act. Instead of thinking of hating the receiving of something, think of the act of learning how to receive the presence of "Love" in life. Now talk about scary! Look, everyone at some point in time in their lives has had a love turn ill somehow. Everyone has gone through the experience of some rejection of some sort. Everyone has had some sort of an instance of needing to RE-LEARN the art of taking a risk in life yet again and letting someone in when one really would rather do ANYTHING otherwise. As a wise old friend once related to me, "sometimes you just have to take the risk in life to allow someone else in, when you have firmly decided to never again let someone else in." You can extrapolate this to any circumstance or any gift you might receive. A flower, a dinner, a coat or even, an expression of affection and yes, of love. Yes, the act of receiving and accepting a gift of some kind in life is a risk, but a risk of the sort that without it, one would certainly understand well the way of alone-ness to an extreme. If your one such as this, you well understand what I'm saying. - WD Allan

While fear is a natural mechanism, it IS NOT a natural or a static state of BE-ing for anyone or anything! We were never meant to experience our BE-ing all based in fear! When this comes to be in life it could, does, and will begin to degrade even ones cellular structure. It will also degrade ones spiritual quality of life and as well degrade soulful wonder for the experience of all of life! Some leaders adore fear as a means to their policies, but the wise ones well understand that fear is as wanted by a society as would be a cancer epidemic running through the air. Fear is natural in its place, but never out of its place! - WD Allan

In a previous moment of time many sunsets and moons ago when I had decided to make a study of the Eastern arts, I also found myself discovering the benefits of and the effects brought about by meditation in my life. I had unknowingly rediscovered and enhanced the sensations and the perceptions that I was born with, that I existed with all along and found the means and the reasons to seek a much deeper and a more involved inner-life. The vast spiritual awareness that comes from a true study of meditation is one of the gifts in the experience of existence from the Great Spirit! Ironically this is a way of existence that many seem to find every reason under the sun to avoid for reasons known only to themselves. I wrote a chapter in my first book on this subject and chose to attend to many of these reasons in the hopes of benefiting others through the discussion. Amongst the greatest of these reasons is that ever-present word and theme in life, "Fear". Some run through life working their tails off, yes, making successes of themselves for sure, making a living, gaining security for their families and the like, all of which are honorable means to be sure. In there in all of this however are the fear based reasoning's of the psychology of the spirit that enhance the worst of reasons to "never stop" lest one would have to take a good and true look at oneself in life. For this, the Great Spirit in his wisdom created the twilight of the day, the twilight of the souls departure from all of the busy-ness in the world where one can finally stop, breathe and experience a lag to all of the go, go, going, going on around oneself! Set this into a pattern for your day and you will surely begin to re-discover something within yourself that you had left long in your past. YOU! Ironic it is that as children grow they do seem to also leave behind many of their spiritual sensitivities that sense spirits, behold wonder, and re-create a true inner happiness! Rediscover this! - WD Allan

In a seminar I was conducting on living in spirituality, I was once asked how one could possibly live a life without ever lying to another or to a loved one? My answer, "one can't". Sometimes to hide a birthday gift what is done? One lies! Sometimes to spare feelings about that extra pound gained? A lie is told! Is this literal thinking? Yes, that could be said. The biggest tragedy though? The onward pattern of consistently Lying to oneself! - WD Allan

We are creators of habit in existence. Once we find a pattern of being that suits our existence, we tend to make it into a way of being, again and again, and yet again until it becomes such a normal part of our day that we would have it no other way. The unfortunate part is when one chooses ill patterns in this way, darker modes of being, destructive ways of life or worse, when one separates oneself from the love that they are due in life as a very function of being itself. Perhaps this is one of the reasons that vacations and holidays were created? People seem to need excuses to break with the patterns of being, to seek out alternate routes of experience at times if for no other reason but to remind themselves that they are alive and can yet again experience excitement set well apart from the usual monotony that becomes daily life. A thought comes to mind! Why not set yourself into some little patterns of difference throughout every one of your days to set a new flavor to the color of your day? Take a different route on your way to work or on your way home. Choose a different style of clothing. Veer away from that old hairstyle. Re-color your room or re-arrange the furniture into something you REALLY wanted to instead of what seems to be so dreadfully "practical"! COME ON! Choose some varying ways to live your life and to enjoy your life, just a little bit each day. Will this make you an unpredictable person from how you usually are? YOU BET IT WILL! How much fun would that be?! Now extrapolate this into other areas of your life, and Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-De-Yay! You'll have a little more fun with your life! After all, who ever said that we have to BE one way ALL THE TIME? - WD Allan

"Have the presence of mind to..."

That beginning to a sentence has been used as a preamble for virtually any and every age group of humankind and almost in as many contexts. In the young, its sometimes used to teach them how to think in a rather consequential manner so they may learn to account for the impact of their own actions in the future. In the adolescent, it means almost the same but with more forcefulness due to the broad nature of the actions adolescents tend to engage in at times. In the older set, it often refers to that ever-growing sense of hope that is wished for through the course of life. However the way its applied, one thing is sure and true. Every reference to retaining and building a presence of mind refers to the practice of awareness building in ones existence. When one purposefully begins to attend to their own awareness of themselves, of others, of the world, and of the energies that form all of the above, the doorways to ones awareness open wide and begins to present itself as the constant breeze through a screen door on a warm summers day! Have the presence of mind to have a true presence of mind in your life! You won't regret it, and as time moves along, you won't wish for any other state of being. Believe it! - WD Allan

Everyone has some innate sense of the timing of their own "order" to the events of their days and the way that their lives tend to unfold. Whether or not one consciously attends to their choices, to the unfolding path of the stones beneath ones feet, eventually there is a very real and true meaning to the color and the times that pass through a persons soul. Not everything is understood right away. Many things are seen as mistakes, as errors, as undeserved markers that litter ones days. Other times events, happenings, and patterns of being are clearly understood as the direct results of ones choices, of ones decisions and the plans one has laid out before they come to pass. The reality is however that everyone, yes everyone, lays out their path and the many way-points they set their sites toward along that path as it was always meant to be. The difference between those seen and embraced and those not embraced are divided only through a chosen lacking for a vast perspective of the long run of all of ones life. In the end, people adopt and set their sites toward the goals and the themes we all truly wish to experience in life. The season to truly embrace is each and every season that we experience! If your not happy being engaged within the construct of any particular season in the days of your life, simply pick up your feet and move along to another one! - WD Allan

I'm often amazed at those who cordon themselves into lines of virtual being, the existences of ill and unease in life. Lest otherwise they would know well and understand that they were much better off than they ever realized they were. Its all too simple and easy to come to believe that your life is much worse than it has to be. Its all too simple and easy to become comfortable with the insinuation that ones presence on this world is destined to be one of hardship, one of pain, one of misery. Yes, difficulties do come along. Sometimes they stay for awhile, sometimes for a long while, and eventually they do leave again even in the most difficult of circumstances. When however, one comes to the understanding that one is not all alone in this existence one begins to accept the postulate that to share oneself with a greater presence along the path of life is to share the pain and then the pain begins to diminish. Of course your afraid at times! Of course your angry at times! Of course your fearful of opening yourself up at times! If you weren't, you wouldn't be here! You would be across the veil in the ether which eventually we all will be. While you are here however, why not make of this experience all that you can! Don't rule the path with the stones of an ill-formed destiny of self-induced misery, pain and anger. There will be enough of all of that to come naturally along the way. We need hardly add any ill-spice to the soup! Make it as sweet and as wonderful as you wish! - WD Allan

The circular nature to the universe is innate to the very design of existence its been said. The reasons for this are self-evident beyond possible measure. It exists to allow everyone the benefits of the experience of all of existence. This is the manifestation of creation and the re-creation of the experience of life. It also, as the leading quote persuades in everyone's experience, allows one the fortune of fate that what another has dished out in ones own direction, they too will eventually benefit from the same experience themselves. The term karma is used to describe this. So are the terms fate, yin and yang, yes many cultures have their own ways of interpreting this truth to being. Suffice it to remain that it does exist and sometimes it provides the only solace one retains once one has been burnt badly by another. Hatred, anger, and forbid, violence solves nothing. These tomes of the ill of a chaotic self only serve to disturb the spirit and place one in a misaligned juncture for a good amount of time until one crosses the river to that grand island of spiritual wonder known as forgiveness. Forgiveness is the spiritual anti-body to the angry ill. Forgiveness is the chemistry of the travel to the brightest state of being there is; this is the brilliance of spiritual enlightenment. Everyone at some point in time or another will discover this. Some at a young age, some quite old. Some in the thick of things and other during moments vast and bold. Forgiveness I was once wisely told "IS" the only true answer to what tarnishes the soul of the hurt when another has crossed your spirit and your mind. In the end, this will become real to everyone! Pray it becomes real, soon for you! - WD Allan

Civil decency is a manner of being where one recognizes ones true connectedness with others, and that one isn't all alone in the world. To act out in explicitly rage-induced ways in the end serves to cure no ill, and certainly corrects no wrongs to people, things and articles. It does and will always serve to deconstruct ones own steppingstones along the pathways to existence. History has proven this well, as has the effectiveness of a sense of decency when articulated in conjunction with ones true nature, that of a decent one. Why not treat others with the respect one desires for oneself? In the end, that communicates WONDERS and becomes much more respected and is relished as an endearing quality to life! Much more than the former! - WD Allan

Nowadays one of the qualities that seems to be in the greatest demand is the ability of people to exercise an understanding compassion for others and even more, within the vestiges of ones own self. This is easily discerned if one would only place enough soulful thought into the perspective of ones own life and of its relationship with that of others. An over-expounded expression of anger and rage are frequently the results of feelings of a loss of control in the experiences of life. If enough time passes with increasing incidences of feelings of a loss of ones own direct control in even the most assured matters of life, the response will vary greatly in a graceful manner from person to person which is of course expected. An eventual anger over the fear that comes from such a state of being is as expected. This is one of the reasons that religiously spiritual tomes become so popular throughout such periods of life. It doesn't provide a true explanation as to why things are the way that they are, but spiritual thoughtfulness of many kinds do provide a wherefore to some comforting solace that one is not all alone in existence! It provides the means to settle the sublime anxieties and the unnerved fears stemming from the worlds upsets. It gives one the means to a pathway to the soul and it also provides one with the tools to stave-off the infusions that are so common with so much social upset. After all of this is said and done however, how one reacts to things out and about is directly proportional to ones abilities to decide in grounded manners how one would react to what others do. Nobody can control anyone else you know! The only thing one can really do is make ones decisions as to how one will react to the actions of others. This is thoughtful decision-making and is best walked in the manner of a wide perspective of ones life. DO think before you react! You may just pat yourself on your own back for thinking well beforehand! - WD Allan

If you think for one moment that someone is beyond the capability of brilliance or bereft of spiritual wonder, look again! There is the source of wonder in life! - WD Allan

Opinions vary, oration abounds, but wisdom is a personal thing that only grows with time no matter how seemingly benign the personality. - WD Allan

One exacts the sort of tone to the manner of life that one chooses. This never dependent upon others, but availed by others frequently. - WD Allan

What good does it do to foment the juices of temper or to project the perverse platitudes of perniciousness? To be simply "IS". The flavor and the color of "BE"-ing you choose as a consequence of your existence! - WD Allan

There is no belief so adamant in its truth or so ill-flexible in its durability that it cannot stand to the process of oration or the dispensary of weathering. - WD Allan

Instead of asking what is there to believe? The better question to ask might be, who decides what there is to believe, and why should I? - WD Allan

There is rebirth from every fall to ashes, there is new awareness from every meditation and you "ARE" every moment of re-creation you choose to be! - WD Allan

Indulging ones own anger to the point of emotional flatulence serves little other purpose beyond stinking up the atmosphere of the spirit. - WD Allan

When we exist as we truly are and not as a parable of being concocted through the formulations of others, we begin to exhibit a symmetry of being that is untouchable by anyone or anything in existence. There is no obsolescence to any part of whom we try to be, think we want to be, or who we could be, for we simply are who we are and that's all there is to it. This soulful spiritual symmetry is what we experience in our most private of moments, in our most private of relationships and most of all in our relationship to what we individually recognize as the Great Spirit in our lives. True happiness its been said comes from within, not from without. If there is any truth to this in existence and of course there is, then true happiness comes from that symmetry from BE-ing closely in-tune with our true selves, not our cast presentations that are so common to everyday existence. Be not a presented mask, but what remains at the core underneath that presented mask. - WD Allan

When you look at the world amidst all of its complexities, perceive it through the same lens that you do your inner-self. Remember that things you perceive are not as they always seem to be on the surface. To relegate the perception of what's true to what seems to be true, is often as a chasm the likes of which could be filled with the universe itself. - WD Allan

When you perceive yourself, your achievements and your set-backs remember this. Who you seem to be on the surface is always best augmented and tuned and presented to others as well as yourself, when your "in-tune" with that part of your being that is your true self. "BE" who you are, not who others would make you out to be! - WD Allan

Believe in yourself. So much so that you don't infuse the messages of others when they tell you that you can't succeed in life. Believe in yourself! - WD Allan

Sometimes victory isn't defined by an objective gained, or a finite claimed, or another quelled. Sometimes ones finest victory in existence is through the awareness that is gained and never relinquished again. - WD Allan

I was recently asked if I really believed in the other side of the veil, that beyond our deaths? I said, "close your eyes and look within for what is beyond, and you will have your answer for yourself." - WD Allan

In the past I have been asked by a few people that in challenging spirits to make themselves known, it was to no avail. Then they ask why they should they believe in them when no proof presents itself? I then respond, why should spirits reveal themselves to one who so dispels them with such adamant self-determination? Would they themselves cooperate to such a spiritually hostile challenge? - WD Allan

Faithfully revealing your qualities to others seems hard. Fascinating that faithfully revealing your talents to yourself seems even harder! - WD Allan

Believing in the Great Spirit is taxing enough for one through the hardest times of life. Why then is believing in yourself even harder? - WD Allan

The time honored saying has been that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and if the beholder of who and what you are remains principally in the eyes of the Great Spirit, then you surely must be the most beautiful thing in all of the universe! Certainly we all have days, weeks, and even longer periods when we feel out of touch and disconnected with the more wonderful and beautiful parts of ourselves. Its in the human condition. Its in the condition of existence. Its a natural thing to sometimes think of yourself as be-ing in some state of the "other-than". The lighter side of this all is that from this state of being, comes the fruition of the awareness of the self and from that, the spiritual awareness that creates all of who and what you are, what you will be, and what you always intended yourself to be! Don't despair! RE-create yourself just when you want to! Why not today? - WD Allan

There is an ancient Buddhist tale that tells of a man who once, during a most difficult time in his life chose to climb a tall mountain in order to gain a better perspective of things. After he reached the summit of the tallest peak he sat down in meditation for one day, then two, and then finally three days and he still hadn't gained any revelation into where the solution to his problems lay. He only saw the landscape, the clouds and the sky. On the fourth day's evening he rose his eyes to the stars of the nighttime sky and then suddenly realized there was one thing he hadn't done as of yet to help him gain some insight. He then rose his voice to the sky begging the universe for some insight, for some answer to his life situation and some insight to his path forward. On the morning of the fifth day, he rose to his feet and walked down the mountain rather disgusted that he hadn't been bestowed with any gift of thought, of mind or of spirit to help him along his way. When he returned to his home, he decided to set himself to the task of solving his problems himself since it was clear the universe had no intention of helping him. He did solve his problems and was quite proud of his accomplishments. Many years later he discussed this entire situation with a holy man. After finishing his recitation, the holy many smiled from ear to ear which certainly seemed to irritate the mountain climbing man. The man asked, "Why are you smiling? There was no gift of insight, no answer from the heavens, no revelation from the spirit to help me! I had to do it all by myself! What do you say to that?" To this, the holy man responded, "but the spirit did answer you." He went on to say, "Your response to the revelation you gained was to get off of your backside and to walk the path of life in a solution instead of a complaint!" The holy man then left.... - © WD Allan

If your told to believe without question, you might want to question the purpose and the motives of those who tell you not to question. There is no spiritual truth in any context that could ever be threatened by the path of the query. - WD Allan

If your told to blindly follow a path without understanding the course and the purpose of that path, you might want to pause and reinvestigate. - WD Allan

If your told to hold a message of spiritual truth as law, when your certain it stands against your principles, you might want to reevaluate that spiritual truth. - WD Allan

If your certain your spiritual principles are aligned with that of your soul and that of what you understand of humanity, BE confident with spiritual surety. - WD Allan

If you find yourself in a state of constant questioning about yourself, about the world, about society, and about the Great Spirit, think of this state as wearing a set of blinders that averts some of the glare of the brilliance of being from your vision. Sometimes we keep ourselves from recognizing our own path in existence for what it is. There is however one solution to this problem. Its one that each and every person has in their command should the choice only be made. "Try removing them." - WD Allan

An abundance of wealth of the spirit is said to be the greatest commodity of all in existence. It's even been said that this very substance of being depends upon nothing that can be bought or sold, traded or stolen. Even the wealth commonly associated with ones mannered securities of life has no bearing upon the wealth of your spirit. To trust that your life will unfold as it should is the most valuable bit of awareness one could ever hope for. Because when this realization makes its way into ones consciousness, then the fears and the subsequent angers associated with the meager securities of life become real as they truly are, not as they seem to become with all of the anxieties and fears thrown in to the mix. To trust that your path is the right one and that those sometimes most questionable periods when things seems so unsure, when things just don't unfold right away into those planned corners of existence, its a valuable thing to carry an insight of faith in oneself when the chips don't fall in ones favor right away. Its a valuable character trait, to trust and to look to something greater than oneself when the fog of life is so thick, you don't have a clue about what to do next. Except to trust that your grand picture, your great perspective rings true to your core and that what you are doing and what you are serving is right, and good, and true to and for the best in humankind and to the best of the spirit. Trust in yourself! You have that right! Trust in the Great Spirit, you also have that right! For one is and remains in tune with the other, even when you think that it's not. Trust in that within yourself as well as that, from outside of yourself to bring things back into perspective. Especially when the rest of things for the time being seem completely out of your vision. They will in time focus into your perspective, for this is what life and experience is all about. Trust! - WD Allan

Spirituality has always been the last thing seriously pondered by one set to the paths of ill, anger and hate and its the first usually set to the chopping block of need in the manner of a separation from the soul. Amazing it is that any individual spiritual creed set to the winds of something holy should so frequently... elicit such ill on the part of so many depicting their own spirituality as their motive. - WD Allan

It is an emotional and an unsure world we live in right now. Thoughtfulness set before ones anger works best against the inevitable results of ill-intent. - WD Allan

If one is truly aligned with spirituality, the last thing one seeks is to degrade another's in turn. Instead of defamation of someone else's beliefs, why not rather seek understanding. The path is much more productive and settles better than sour milk on a stomach, let alone the soul. - WD Allan

Wisdom begins not at the tail of a thought, but rather it begins at the head of it. If one is so smart that they cannot learn from others in life, they will have no room for wisdom in their minds. - WD Allan

Once one makes a decision to truly be and to open-up to the wonders and to the majesty that comes from truly BE-ing, then that so called "rare event" of a wonderful happening can become an increasingly experienced way of existence. You see, when we live in an eternal defensive mode to the entirety of the world albeit to the people throughout, then we become all too guarded to what we might otherwise draw into our sphere of being. None of this is to say that we shouldn't be careful in life! We can however pace our guardedness and allow ourselves to "BE" instead of not allowing ourselves to BE a majority of the time. This really is something to think on. - WD Allan

One of the most contentious of humankinds differences between one another is that of spiritual affiliation. Imagine the world if the qualities of respect and love quelled the deconstructive influences of irrational fear and the ever expanding influences of hate? - WD Allan

To discover ones purpose in life is a chief aim for all and this continues throughout this life until physical purpose seems no more. The greatest revelation? Purpose never, ever ends. Purpose is the very core of the fabric of BE-ing and thus, it is at the core of the essence of spiritual self awareness. Purpose IS the... essence of life itself and its what provides conscious being to us all.- WD Allan

There are plenty of reasons to continue to re-visit the ills one has become so familiar with in life, and one sound reason to move beyond them all. Peace - WD Allan

It only takes a moment to stop and take in the wonder of existence. It unfortunately takes many the better part of a lifetime to learn to stop for such a brief moment. Take some time each day to wonder of the space around you and even more of the people with you. When you combine them all into some meditation into the experience of existence, the whole landscape then becomes much clearer. - WD Allan

To temper yourself isn't a sign of weakness. To moderate your anger, to quell your rage, to know yourself isn't an indication that you live too much in some surreal self-adored state of wanton perfection. It is to live confidently and surely with the understanding that you are, and you become, and that you are NEVER ALONE! - WD Allan

To live a life based upon lies, is to build your house on a foundation of sand. Eventually such structures faulter and fall to ashes. Life isn't a house of cards being dealt and reissued day after day. Life and all of existence is a mansion wrought of the finest materials, created and re-created inch by inch, yard by yard, and drafted from the grandest of visions. YOURS! - WD Allan

Many devoted of spiritualists in history were willing to risk reputation and more to express what they were confident was extant truth. "BE" your existence! Don't allow others to steer your beliefs for you. - WD Allan

A life lived in synergy with spiritual belief will compliment one better than a life lived in a vacuum of spiritual belief. Think of it as living on an island with no resources. Think of it as reaching your hand out in a crowd for help and receiving none in return. Think of it as existing within a blank shell with no other measure of the self to help tack its way through the seas of life! - WD Allan

Many times while addressing various groups I've related the time that I crossed paths with someone who was so obsessed with his "problems" one day that he had meandered his way through past noontime without even noticing that the sun was out, the clouds were few, the birds were singing and the totality of things at that moment in the universe did seem oh so calm and peaceful, to most other people. When I had asked him what he thought of that fine day, he responded, "what fine day?" He later admitted that he hadn't even noticed that the weather was so beautiful and the general mood surrounding him was peaceful and positive beyond prose! His personal mind had become so occupied with what he later also admitted wasn't all that problematic after all and he had become a little bit embarrassed that he had turned it all into such a mountain. A lesson learned in life for sure, if only for a little while. Keep things in proper perspective! - WD Allan

I recall once hearing that if you ever think of peace as a permanent possibility, the first step always rests with yourself. Re-create it! - WD Allan

In my youth I can clearly recall once thinking, "if only I had a way to show others, how exciting and how beautiful the world is through my eyes!" No kidding, I really did think this, and in many ways I never really stopped thinking like this. Its probably why I now do what I do with my life. In those times when I was teased by other kids, I recall thinking that they too had parents who loved them like mine loved me, so I never could hate them. I was just confused as most kids are with the actions of others that I never truly understood. In our world today I don't think its all that different to kid or adult. If you have trouble noticing the beauty in the world, try stopping for awhile and looking inward for the keys to your perceptions. They might just open up a world that is profound in its beauty. - WD Allan

As forgiveness is one of the purest of spiritual acts between one another, a great spiritual revelation that usually follows it is to the understanding that people are truly connected with one another in integral ways. Its not by chance that people generally feel better, feel somewhat relieved and are better tuned to the energy of life when in the presence of others, even when they might believe otherwise. An old saying is that "many hands makes for light work!" In a spiritual sense, many souls makes for the fortification of the energy of existence. Don't steer yourself from being around others, but rather avoid steering yourself to a state of unproductive alone-ness. - WD Allan

Forgiveness is the greatest of creative expressions we can not only bestow unto others, but in the greatest sense, it is the purest of creative things we can do for ourselves. It purifies the pathway of the spirit and allows us to BE-come and thus, in each moment of our present existence, to truly BE! - WD Allan

Forgiveness is however also one of the things we do to clean-up the emotional clutter that stops us from BE-ing who and what we truly are, in our present, in our moment, once the pains of our present have become the pains of the recent and our stalled distant past. - WD Allan

Many believe that forgiveness is one of those things one does to make themselves and others feel better of the past. All true enough. Consider the great terms of spiritual endearment we work through to open our awareness however. - WD Allan

The very wise prose spoken below can also be versed in terms of the mindset of the purest of thinking of meditation as well. In fact there are those who would say that prayer is meditation directed towards the Great Spirit instead of an inner-directed focus of ones attention. Either way, and more in fact, the continuous conversation that takes place since the moment of our birth up to the moment of our passing beyond the veil that stands between this physical existence to the other side is a conversation that never ends. It is a song, a verse, a seamless and a never ending discussion that attenuates the soul of our being in such a way that it enacts and validates the very moment of creation itself. Just because one is living ones daily life, busy with the actions of the moment of the day, walking another boardwalk along the spiritual path doesn't mean that the conversation ever ends. The old saying is that God knows our prayers even before we do. Such is the nature of the seamless soulfully spiritual bond between the Great Spirit and all that encompasses the Great Spirits consciousness. From the planets and to the stars, from the smallest pebble in the forest and to the spirit that resides behind the physical eye that sees all that is, there is nothing that is unknown or ever unspoken between ourselves and the Great Spirit. The act of verbally or intimately stating it in some way is not for the Great Spirits benefit, it is for our own. Something to really think on huh? - WD Allan

"All work and no play makes Jack a..." well you know how the rest goes. Everyone has their focus in life and their own personal schedules that they follow on any given day. When however these schedules begin to become too skewed towards any one end of that great pie-chart of existence, you know, what some of the more notable "Gestalt" minded thinkers refer to as those separate areas of personal development, one becomes thrown out of whack in many ways. Ones vocational self, ones recreational self, ones educative self, ones family self and so on exhibit this Gestalt chart of the self. Each slice of the pie its been said tenders some attention from the overall conscious energy of the self, and when scribed into a good and complementary balance, a person more often than not settles themselves quite well in the world. When however a soul marks all too much attention to their vocational self, or to their recreational self and so on as a sudden rule of their days, they end up out of balance and then they function as if they are out of balance when its not necessary to do so. Yes, times and personal destiny sometimes calls for such attention. Other times however some skew themselves out of balance through an attendance towards personal glory, personal pain, personal anxiety, personal gain, or yes, even personal happiness. A life lived in some circumspect balance is a life tuned for the ascension of a living conscious awareness of the self and what lies beyond the self. Seek some balance in all things in your life and the return will be an eventual balance of the universe in return. A good goal, yes? - WD Allan

Several times I've quoted Mr. John Wayne and his so eloquent citation on our tomorrows and our yesterdays. He said: "Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday." I forever recall Mr. Wayne's words and try to place into my path the thoughtfulness that with the wisdom of what we learned from our successes and our mistakes in our yesterdays, we all inevitably do learn to hope for some wisdom in order to craft a much better tomorrow. It really is worth a thought or two you know! - WD Allan

Its been said that sometimes the wisest of words ever to be expressed, were those that weren't expressed at all or in the very least, those chosen in thoughtful reservation. Everyone has bad moments and good ones, bright moments and dark ones, productive moments and unproductive ones. It really doesn't matter how one sifts through the entirety of ones life and of ones prayers. The true calling and presence of ones heart is already known to the Great Spirit for it was prescribed by the Great Spirit. He understands that anger comes at times, happiness comes at times, as does sadness, despair and through it all an eventual global understanding of the nature of all of the experience of existence. The old adage is that ones prayers are known even before they are spoken, and this is one of the great truisms to all of existence. In those moments when you believe you have been forgotten, or you believe you have been forsaken, remember that you are never alone and would never be forgotten. You could never be forgotten or disconnected from the love of the Great Spirit, for the binding ties that makes existence itself possible is manifested from the love that created all of this to begin with. That energy is within all of us, in all things, and binds all things together. That energy is you. If you doubt this for a moment, search within yourself for awhile to re-confirm it. We all need some reminding every now and then! One of the common problems nowadays is that too many choose not to remember at all.- WD Allan

Sometimes the road to the fulfillment of your dreams is one wrought with bumps and valleys, potholes and cracks and sore backs and sore spirits. Sometimes the road to your dreams seems calm and steady. Sometimes the road to your dreams seems an arduous journey. Sometimes the road to your dreams might at times leave you with the feelings that your all alone for a long while, with only your faith and your will to see your journey progress. One thing above all else though! The road to your dreams is one that you should never, ever give up on. Especially when you are set in your commitment to both see it through. Especially when it benefits the spiritual vitality of others along the way. Don't ever give up! Because there are those right by your side who never give up on you! This is what a positive spirituality is all about! - WD Allan

The interpretation of what's "best" or not tends to color the fabric of perception eloquent or bitter, not so much depending upon the understanding of a universal hand that guides the universe, but rather according to ones own individual needs, or ones own wants and the living desires that steers ones own boat. Given this, the world itself has an infinite interpretation of the word "best". The shouldering of the weight of existence however is another matter and to this we can easily avail ourselves to our fellows in the best of times as well as the not-so-best of their times. Sometimes the difficult part is in remembering that we ourselves are the ones in need, and at some juncture or two along our way, we might best sometimes recall that we don't have to shoulder the weight of our own existence all alone. Don't fear including a trusted other in your experience. It just might make your day in so many ways! - WD Allan

Its an amazing bit of philosophical insight that crossed the mind of one so long ago when it became apparent that if one set to the winds of the sea of life the vessel of determination, the manifest guidance of that vessel would be attended to regardless of the heading we witnessed initially. So many do acknowledge that ancient rule that "everything works out the way its supposed to regardless of ones own maneuverings". This is a true axiom of existence! One that if it was recalled more often, it might just tone down the tensions and anxiety levels of so many who as a habit of life have learned to micro-manage everything from their coffee habits to their eyelid flutters. Eventually we all must learn to set our sights to the grander picture of life and of existence and at least to some degree, to let things unfold as they were meant to after we've launched our efforts. - WD Allan

In today's world we are always oh-so busy! Run, run, run and then run some more, the wheel never stops, and yes, its designed this way by the individual! So much in fact that from sunrise to sunset there is hardly enough time to focus oneself onto the matters of ones physical existence, not to mention the matters of attending to ones own inner soulfully spiritual self and to the overall effects. Its no wonder why some react so adversely to the word meditation and inner soulfulness the way that they do. It would mean stopping the wheel of spiritual rage in its tracks and truly attending to what's inside and turning away what's outside for awhile. Scary thought sometimes! To set aside some evening time, or some morning time just to yourself, with a lit candle, some music or better yet, in ABSOLUTE tranquil quiet where nothing can distract you from you, is a wonderful way to re-align your spiritual gears! Try it! You'll come to love it! - WD Allan

There's much wisdom to this you know! All too often when matters rise for attention, in some way there is a part of the self that just wants to shut down to whatever the matter is. Most peoples first reaction is or course, "why not?" Doesn't everyone want to avoid problems? Of course they do! When however something does come into your path, instead of shutting one eye and becoming all balmy and heated about whatever it is, try opening yourself up in a grounded manner with both heart and soul and then set yourself about the circus of solving your problem! Some of the greatest engineers in history have made their reputations well known by not running or hiding from a problem. Instead they used their problem solving skills to SOLVE THE PROBLEM! When Apollo 13 ran into difficulties and everyone had to improvise quickly for major life-saving solutions, they didn't run and hide, they solved the problems TOGETHER! What a concept huh? "SOLVE THE PROBLEMS TOGETHER!" Imagine what life, existence and the soulful matters of the world would then become if we all would solve the many problems all together! WOW! :) - WD Allan

There are times along the path of life when its easy to think that we've been forgotten, forsaken or left to struggle alone against the erosion of the winds. Everyone grows according to their own schedules of decision and their own universal contemplation with the forces that move existence itself. One of the most difficult things to remember sometimes is that one is never truly alone. One is never truly left out of the game-plan for the future by the Great Spirit. You may not want to hear this, but, the only one who deletes you from the "plan" of existence is "you", nobody else! Mother Theresa understood this. The Dalai Lama understands this. The great spiritual masters that are now in the past of the spiritual record of mankind all understood this. Yes, there is a bigger picture unfolding and it DOES include you and your own destiny. What you would be best remembering is that it also includes everyone else as well! It includes every soul, every spirit, everyone who is also included in the universal plan of existence and just as important as you are. The vast and unbelievably complex equation that is the conduction of all of existence would never, ever, forget anyone. Especially you! Your time is included in it all. Consider this for awhile however as you ponder your own destiny in the grand equation of existence. Perhaps the reason you feel like you have been forsaken somehow is that you have to some degree spiritually disconnected yourself from others, from the universe, from the Great Spirit and yes, even from yourself. RE-CONNECT and then set your feet upon the path of your own RE-CREATION! - WD Allan

I can recall a time when someone I knew used to be extremely critical of being a mere spectator at sports and had the same general opinion of those who didn't dive into the "real" activities of life as a whole in the same way. It was this individual's view that to constantly stand at the sidelines of life simply watching things go by was no way to live, it was in his view just existing. Much later however illness had set in and this individual had to learn the art of watching instead of diving into everything he could himself. Life has a funny way of teaching us principles of being and ways of perceiving both ourselves and the universe we inhabit in relation to ourselves. It stands as one of those perspectives of eternity where we can't always indulge ourselves into everything. Sometimes the rules of the road insist on one stepping back for awhile to appreciate the entire view of things instead of always fencing ourselves against things, face to face up at the scrimmage lines of action. Explore it, engage it, be a part of it all, YES! Forgetting to step back occasionally to simply appreciate your perspective of it all, NO! While "BE-ing", don't forget to appreciate the "BE-ing"! - WD Allan

This is truly a critical statement of BE-ing more than many I have crossed paths with lately. It really does stand as so the way that people as a whole are taught to gauge their value in the world according to how much they do, to how much they accomplish, to how much money they make, to how many toys they have in their garages and so on. That ever sought after state of "wholeness" is too often associated with how fast one moves throughout ones day instead of how one relates to who one truly is, to what one truly feels, and to what extent one processes the world around them and makes of it a part of the wholeness of the self. "You are a human being, not a human doing", I think says it MASTERFULLY! "I think therefore I am" was in the classical school understood as a wonderful insight. I do therefore I am was never a part of that axiom, unless one connects ones state of be-ing more to the movement of things in ones life instead of the state of what truly resides within! Think about it for awhile and you might see why I chose to comment on this today! - WD Allan

I can recall one day heading into a weekly managers meeting that was always scheduled at some other venue. That day was a most pleasant one as I recall. Bright, sunny and quite warm. Just one of those days that one always hopes for. The only difference was that on that day I had much on my mind right from the start. For the better part of my morning and into the noon-day I was thoughtful of none other than myself and what was occupying my essence. At the entrance to the building someone said, "what a nice day huh?" I looked up and noticed for the first time that there was not a cloud in the sky and the noontime sun was gloriously warm, just the picture of perfection! I then realized that I had so demanded all conscious activity from my spirit, that I had completely discarded from my thoughts the entire universe around me. I then stopped, took a deep breath, and reminded myself of my personal trademark quality check to the thoughts. "Was it worth it?" Was it worth the amount of time and space I was giving it on that wonderful day? Was it worth chucking every other good thing that was happening or could happen to me on that day to spend the entirety of my time focused on something that was in the end, truly trivial. That was what it was after all you know! It was all really trivial! Was it all worth it? Is it all worth it? Is it worth it? A BRILLIANT question to ask oneself! If you doubt it, try it out sometime! It works! Paste it on your desk somewhere for when you need it. - WD Allan

There is a spiritual "inertia" to the formation of the self, from moment to moment, from vision to lifetime. When you set a thought to a decision, and then the decision set into the action, a state of "BE-ing" is the inevitable result. The question is; what state of being do you seek? You see, the spiritual inertia that nudges your perception of being isn't formed at the fingertips, the tongue or the eyebrows. The spiritual inertia that nudges the movement of your thoughts becomes the spiritual inertia that is inevitably set into motion through, YOU! Once set into direction, your motion, your spiritual inertia will carry you through just fine! That is what determined faith is all about! "BE", don't avoid being. - WD Allan

The universe is a wonderfully fascinating place you know. People place themselves into the fray of life focusing on the simple things that make up ones days, and then it seems that experiential decision making has taken place somewhere by something, somehow, and the accommodation of the experience of love, hate, anger, fear or some other affective descriptor enters into the formula often leaving people with a feeling of "where did that all come from?" Frequently the last place one looks for the first derivative in that formula is within ones own manipulations that attract it into the experience. Why is it that the consideration more escapes than not, that one actually draws such toward themselves through their own being rather than the universe more frequently dropping it into peoples pathways of life? Yes, of course it comes to pass that sometimes things simply do happen. It does however take place that people craft their own courses, tear apart the paths through the forests and the jungles of their being only to eventually find themselves plopped down into the valleys of happiness and despair, love and loss, achievement and challenge and so on. Through the decisions and the actions we make every day, through the manipulations and the soulful articulations of the meaningful natures of life, we create and draw toward ourselves the fabric of the tapestry of who we are, who we were and to whom we will certainly become. Think of the responsibility of personal actions of change, instead of always relegating it to the function of some divine proportion of guilt ridden destiny. "YOU" create your destiny in life more than anything else does! When you come to accept this fact; WOW will your changes progress in the directions you want them too!- WD Allan

One of the largest causes of peoples everyday anxieties and strife is that they tend to openly welcome the ills that accompany a day with much more accepting resolve than they invite the overwhelming presence of peace, calmness and light into their lives. The cause of this is of course that most consider the presence of anxieties to be a natural thing while they also consider the entrance and the presence of light, calmness and peace to be akin to some occasional flight if not a complete rarity in life! When people then set out to "CHOOSE" to envelope themselves with calmness, peace and the light of the essence of calmness and goodwill, eventually this becomes habit, and the habit an eventual mainstay that wouldn't be given up for all of the jewels of the tower! Choose wisely! How you interpret your experience is exactly what you will engage! - WD Allan

Life nowadays really meets itself astride the gallop of the horses of commerce, the flight of the mind of busy-ness, the run of the absolutely necessary as many see it all. People meet the demands of others, feed the wants and the necessary's of everything from job to deed, from emotional want to psychological infusion, and the end product of much of it all is a depletion of one meeting ones own needs while not keeping others from meeting theirs. This last portion is the functional definition of "assertiveness"! To meet ones own needs includes ones emotional self, ones vocational self, ones spiritual self and so on and there is absolutely nothing wrong with saying the word "NO" to others in order to spend some time on YOU! Take time for yourself! Take time for your own spiritual vision of what and whom you envision yourself to be and yourself to come, and in time the demands of others and of the world will begin to draw back into their proper perspectives. Be there for you, for many others placing demands upon you are certainly doing the same for themselves!

- WD Allan

Life nowadays really meets itself astride the gallop of the horses of commerce, the flight of the mind of busy-ness, the run of the absolutely necessary as many see it all. Its become all too common that the affect of the tear is seen as an exhibition of ones weakness while the presence and the promotion of ones laughter is seen as curing and indicative of a sound character. I can't begin to tell you of all of the people I've seen both personally and professionally who hide much of their anger, angst and rage through the presence of a smile and some laughter. Laughter is often attributed with the capacity of some deletion of the sour materials of life, when I can say most heartily that it doesn't do this at all! Mask? Yes! Offset? For a time. But delete? Absolutely not! When one becomes grounded in the awareness of ones feelings and all of the emotions surrounding the events, the situations and the people in ones life, then there can be a true exhibition of the congruence of the self in whole form. When this comes to be, then the spirituality of the soulful-self appears from behind its hidden veil and this is the path to that ever sought state of a moment of "bliss" in life. It never lasts forever, but it does come, in time, with intent and most of all, with a true congruence of what truly lies within under the skin. I can soundly tell you from experience, just BE YOU! - WD Allan

As the saying so aptly puts it, "pluck a string on an instrument, and the vibration is felt across the universe." Many have grave difficulties with such an axiom for their minds wield not to the effects that can adapt the ether of existence. If it had happened that Moses had not been born, or that Franklin Roosevelt's parents had given birth to a daughter and not a son in his place, or that Einstein had never chosen to travel to the US and stayed in Europe, the world and yes, the universe would have been a much different place. One choice, a set of choices, a pluck on a string in all of what is can easily move matters into uncharted territory. So, the next time you feel you can have no affect in the matters of the world, or that you haven't made a difference in your life or in the life of another, just stop and think again! You may have affected much more than you could ever have imagined in the universe! Have faith, and "BE" the best that you can be in your tidings, through your decisions, and in your life. Most of all, "BE"! - WD Allan

A fascinating truism "seeds" are to the creation of the moment of anyone's life. Even if one doesn't quite align themselves with the picture of a seed being laid day by day along the way, the simile is precise enough to fit anyone's spiritualist tendencies. We all do lay down seeds as we travel our separate paths and as time moves along, some of them sprout, some lie dormant and others pass into oblivion, to the ether of what might have been. When one doesn't allow the "auto-pilot" switch to be thrown itself automatically in life and when one exerts a thoughtful re-creation to each and every day and to the happenings of the day, it quickly becomes an emerging awareness that one crafts the effects to come according to the seeds one plants along the way. An absolute paradoxical scheme! The effects one leaves behind can and often does influence the thoughts, choices and the decisions one makes as a result of those very seeds. Sometimes more so than one realizes! - WD Allan

The greatest of offerings of the heart frequently come in the form of a word, a phrase, a song that only expresses that truest message of love in whatever passage one can muster. There are those who think themselves bereft of the capacity of such expression. There are those who believe they have the capacity while yet meeting the struggle of life head-on and allowing it to taint the song. Then there are those who simply allow the expressions of the heart to flow as naturally as one breathes. Allow yourself to merely express the core part of yourself to another and you will have allowed the core of the love that you hold within to pass along to another as it was always meant to. - WD Allan

Responsiveness is one of those grand indicators of existence. How one responds indicates thoughtfulness or decay of thought, flight of impulse or strength of will, relax of defensiveness or ultimate guardedness. Ones responses change however as life and existence moves along. As experience is encountered and as one gains the ever growing scars of ones indecision and error that so naturally compliment the sheen and the luster of the glow of ones successes, one eventually learns where the true balance of the self comes as well as how to regulate oneself. The tools of self-mediation and of an inner knowing of the self become clearer with such times along the path of life and thus, one gains the wisdom of a knowing existence. Its why we are taught to listen to and to infuse ourselves with the knowledge of those with more experience and more wisdom than we ourselves hold. Hold close to you the wisdom of their ages, for "it is one of the banes of our existence, that we should forget ourselves all too easily." - WD Allan

Throughout my spiritual experience, little to nothing has transcended the ability and the strength of learning to live truly in "the moment" of ones existence. When one truly releases yesterday into yesterdays past business, and doesn't over-burden oneself with what may or might or not happen in tomorrow, suddenly the totality of ones being is left and its here where ones complete and utter focus remains. The power and the inner strength one gains from existing in "the moment" focuses psychic/soulful energy into what really matters. Today, right now, "the moment" of life, and when this happens one can entirely dedicate the power of the re-creation of existence into this very moment alone. This is why the masters of thoughtful meditation have so earnestly attempted to show the value of the way. This is self-creation at its zenith as it was intended to be, as it is intended to be. - WD Allan

Sometimes challenges in life creates stress. Stress over time tends to create even more stress and when the challenges in life seem to grow instead of reducing to their proper perspectives, this is when the searching for a sense of the self tends to grow right along with such times in life as frustrating as it can seem. Searching and asking isn't the problem. The searching and the asking when compounded with an ever growing inner state of anger directed as much inward as outward colors the soulful experience into that proverbial mole-hill that suddenly has grown into a seemingly insurmountable mountain of possibilities that blend into a vague haze. Relaxing the mind opens the landscape of things back into proper perspectives, and hence, then the answers begin to seem more available. Back to the benefits of meditation! WD Allan

There was once a wise soul who said that once you plant the seeds of hope into the fertile soil of the self, you will sow the stuff of dream making made manifest into the existence of life! If one gardens the seeds of the chaotic, the negative and the things that make life a consistent upset mess, then these seeds will eventually result in precisely what you work for. If one gardens the seeds of hope, the seeds of joy, and yes, the seeds of love. Then this is what one will find in increasing bounty in life. The manner of ones seeking tells much of the individual. The greatest part of all of this is that one can change what one sows at any point should one so wishes. Soulfully spiritual footwork is the only requirement. - WD Allan
