Memories in Reincarnation PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Well, depending on ones perspective on this subject, it could be said that there are certainly memories that are carried through from one’s life time to the next, just as file cards get sorted into a Library Directory or into a video reference in someone’s collection. Crude examples they might seem to describe the totality of someone’s experiences, but the spirit of the point does come across. Then again, for any latent true behaviorists out there who believe that the sum of ones experiences are learned here, reside here, then pass off into the sunset of this life, well the point does become rather moot doesn’t it? The whole matter for me hinges around the subject of one creating and then re-creating their experiences.

Allowing for the existence of reincarnation at all, should there be any need for one to carry ones memories and experiences along with them from one life to another? For what purpose would the reference be needed? Would there be some cosmic significance to being able to recall or reference these things as one embarks and wades through another life? Well, unless there’s some great cosmic experience data bank that accepts all these uploads to it from life to life, one would have to presume, (always a dangerous word), in my own way of thought at least, that ones soul and spirit would certainly understand the basis of the experiences one had just had in a previous life, if one had been had at all. Of course then there’s the issue of, depending on ones beliefs in time itself and its impact on what lies beyond this shell of ours here and now, the life that lies beyond our present life.

Time in and of itself it’s been past held, is a construct that has no basis in anything except to judge comparisons and relative differences between what one see’s as what is now, what was and what might or will be. In recent times, this paradigm has taken on completely different and varied perspectives with the creation of visions based in higher mathematics, and the even greater visions by the artisans of the mind and the soul and the spirit. Great philosophers have pondered this value of reality for a long time and even more recent latter day physicists leap at wondering if time doesn’t exist at all as a finite quantity, but rather existing as does everything on the cosmic wheel truly spinning about all at the same instant. One understandably wonders then if this life that is being experienced is right alongside all of the other experiences that have been and will be experienced by any soul. This then of course implies that there’s truly no re-incarnation at all in the purist sense of the word, but a co-creation or re-creation of an experience right along with the current one. Such however remains more in the philosophy of the mind, than it can in the value of the quantity of fact.

All that latter hype, which I do tend to rather accept by the way, brings up the issue of one being able to cross-connect to another experience beyond the “veil” of this existence to another as a reference for one reason or another. Would this tend to make sense in as far as the original question is concerned?

To my mind, it would seem to make the grade and might fairly well explain why in so many different situations for so many different people and in many settings, one see’s visions and apparitions of many types. Why thoughts, ideas and connections to other lives and experiences for some do so seem to be drawn upon at some points the way that they do. The term déjà-vous would be well applied I think, even with the element of time removed and taken in perspective to where it might best be.

One is reaching beyond the veil that separates this experience, from the other experiences. Sort of like reaching across an alley to the apartment window in the next building that houses another experience we are having at the same moment of co-creation or re-creation.

Actually when one thinks on the subject it really does bring so much out into the open for pondering doesn’t it?

As Always,

WD
